I use musicmatch juke box and I just pick the files that I want to burn to a CD and it does it for me. Not sure how to do the conversion, if it is even needed.
I believe that you can burn mp3 right to a CD using Windows Media Player, but not real sure.

Hey Keltic:
Here ya go:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
so cool because dbpoweramp can convert mp3 and wav (some other formats too, if you down load the codecs -- for the advanced users). Can also rip from cd, woo hoo!!!!, (and lp, once again for the more advanced amongst ya' all).

Try Winamp (http://www.winamp.com). I use this primarily to convert MP3's to WMA format (64 kbps, to reduce file size on my MP3/WMA player). Winamp has a lot of plugins, and I'd be surprised if they didn't have one that outputted to WAV format.
