I have been training pretty hard lately and I must admit I'm a little tired. This morning the blender was dirty and I threw it in the dishwasher rather than have to hand wash it, only now I want to have a shower and the dishwasher still isn't finished and I haven't had breakfast and I can' t seem to think my way out of a wet paper bag.

Sigh.....I think this just became a rest day. More carbs for everyone.

Quite simply.

Pull the latch on the dishwasher so it stops the cycle. Shower really quickly and then restart the machine.

Easy wheezy lemon squeezy and for god sake don't follow the "a little perfume will cover that up" school of thought.

This is a viable option, since our hot water tank is tiny and there won't be enough for a shower if I shut it off now.

When I walked into the kitchen to stare dumbly at the dishwasher, willing it to finish I realized I went and bought groceries last night and now I'm sitting here with a heaping bowl of granola and yogurt. Mmmmm....carbs.

I should be back to my usual self once I get some coffee in me.

My cold water comes from an underground glacier. I would be a fool, not a woman.

I would say after the DW has filled up for a cycle, you have about 20 minutes to get a shower.
