It seems like our usual August weather arrived mid-June and is not planning on departing any time soon.

Hotter than normal, or average hot?
Maybe the sun is burning itself out faster than scientists anticipated, and they don't want to alarm the general public with the news that it's about to go supernova.
Yup, I'm going with that. |
Hotter than normal by far. Last year we had 1 day all summer where it was 90 or more. This summer, I'd have to think hard to recall a day below 90.

In the past five (at least) weeks, one rain of any note (the afternoon of July 4).

Crazy hot and humid. Seems like every day we break the temperature record for that day. We're talkin' high 90's low 100's (That's 35-40 celsius!). We normally only get a few days that hot all summer and so far the whole month of July has been hovering in that range.
Let me tell ya, my 8 1/2 month pregnant wife is lovin' it...

Ours is just like usual, maybe a little hotter than average.
Lots of grass fires.
