Mine excellent.
Great race on Sunday.
Able to get good bit of our fence up in the yard.
Bought new bedroom furniture for the Au pair (and of good enough quality that Abby will get it when she is done)

We also rewarded ourselves with a brand new sleigh bed. We have been talking about one for years. While at the furniture store Robin saw one she liked. Priced about right. She said what do you think. I said get it.
(the salesman had his day made!!!)

and that was all Sunday.

Saturday was a normal day at the po po. Nothing big. JJ did not sleep well Friday into Saturday but that was alright. Sunday made up for it.

Sunday, Palm Sunday Service. choir did a little extra music, a rehearsal after church for the program we'll do thursday night. Dinner at my parents. some speedwork late in the afternoon, chauffeuring my son, and then i decided to bake some Biscotti.

Friday :: Must not have been too special. I can't even remember. Neutral

Saturday :: Baked a bunch of stuff. Helped my son get himself another SUV (the youth of today is so easily influenced by their peers/media) Easy ride/run

Sunday :: First duathlon EVAH! Did pretty good. Looong report is in Run and Race Reports. Chilled out around the house and tried to get caught up on 'honey do' stuff.

Friday: Tracy got better as the day went on. Then Mike woke up from his nap with 103 temp. Ear infection.

Saturday: We went to Madison anyway, and his fever broke later in the day. Nice time hanging out with my family.

Sunday: NASCAR, what else? I must have finally picked well in the fantasy league since I won the week...

Guess.

Actually it was kinda Smile and Sad .

Good, because they caught it, and Dad's gonna be Ok.
Bad, because it's tough seeing your DAD so helpless. It's sad.

Friday night: Pizza and cards with some friends. Way too much fun. My hubby and I stunk big time at cards. We definately weren't in sync with eachother.

Saturday: Rainy day turned sunny day at 4:ish. I had a great swim in the morning and worked all day. Saturday night saw a wild Turkey in the neighbor's yard. No idea where it came from.

Sunday: Great 10.5mile run. Then went bike shopping. Have it narrowed down to 3 road bikes. (Finally decided on a road instead of a tri. I know I'll be more comfy on a road durning the longer rides.) Got major headache shopping for bike! Then nieces and nephews came over for a trip to the park and dinnah. In bed very early! Woke up at 3:00am and couldn't fall back asleep due to stress of buying new bike.

3 choices:
Specialized elite something. (bottom choice at the moment)
Cannondale R2000 CAAD7
Trek 5200 OCLV

I'm going back on Friday to try all 3 again. They didn't have the Trek in my size yesterday so they will have one built for me by Friday. I also am checking this web site: www.gvhbikes.com. He has some great deals and will put a frame with your choice of components. I know of 3 hard core roadies who have purchased from him with great success.

Since I haven't ridden any of those bikes, I'd recommend going with the carbon Trek. Wink

My weekiendo... (pronounced like 'week'-'E'-'N'-'doe')

Friday...relaxed

Saturday...Sister had a HUGE 60th birthday party for my mom. It was a blast! (sidenote: I was in charge of getting the 'picture' cake from the cake shop...I went to pick it up one hour before the party and the freakin ass monkeys forgot to put the picture on the cake! Mad . They re-did it and delivered it just in time so I didn't have to punch any kidneys in.)

Tons of people showed up. Cheese was eaten. Beer was drunk. Folks were drunk.

All the siblings stayed after the party and we played board games all night (Cranium, Jenga...tha's right. I said Jenga, baby!)

---------
I got a dare to call Barnes and Noble and ask for a particular book (drunk prank calls at 11:30pm rule!). Here's how it went:

clerk: Barnes and Noble, this is Steph!

me: Hi Steph, wondering if you could look up a book for me called 'Trails in the Sand'.

clerk: Sure! "Trails in the Sand"...can't seem to find it..Who's the author?

me (trying SOO hard not to crack and the siblings weren't helping): I think his name is 'Dick Dragon'...(here's where I explode and hang up the phone)

-----------------

So anyway, Sunday, Joy's mom and sis came up to go shopping so I had the house to myself...laid around watched some NBA (great game!), the Masters...did some weight lifting...Last night I went down to see one of my favorite local bands at the coffee shop.

Great weekend!

I've already given enough weekend report to last me through 2007 but I just wanted to say I really am no older than 10, I laughed for like 30 seconds at your little B&N stunt....

Dancer--congrats on the bike shopping!! I ride a lowly little Trek 1000, but I love it. I say go with the carbon fiber too! thumbs up you realize we'll need pics on that ASAP?! Good luck!

Friday night we went to a wedding of Jen's cousin, and we spent the night in a hotel.

Saturday: Put my new computer desk together, attempted to change headlights in Jen's car. Laundry, played outside with kiddies. Cut grass

Sunday: Food shopping, played outside with kids and we washed the cars or should I say they washed me.

They are available to wash your cars too, they work cheap

Seconds later he turned the hose on me.
