ok, now the rennovation people are blocking the tiny section of the driveway i parked in and i cant get out!

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!

we have not been able to use the driveway or had any semblance of peace in the last 3 weeks because of all the frikkin maintence. first, there were the roofers. that took a week. and i swear they jumpped on the nails instead of using hammers or whatever they use... next were the people doing the siding. that took two weeks. one of them actually asked me to cut down a small tree that was in their way. now, we have painters. so far not terrible but they were pressure washing the house while i was trying to take a shower. and now the co who sent the painters have parked their van in the driveway and i cant get out!

omg. i am so ready for all this crap to be done.

In Atlanta? It's doubtful. If it weren't for the Hispanic population, this whole city would come grinding to a halt.

Those bike riding, car pooling nuts. God bless 'em.

they are hispanic and from what i can gather, they speak some english. enough that i knew that they wanted me to move the tree...

the repairs are not really renovations...apparently the siding that was put on when the house was built was that bad stuff that invovled a class action law suit a few years ago. and my bfs parents got involved too late to get anything from the suit. so since the siding was slowly rotting away, they (bfs 'rents) decided to just go ahead and replace all the trim too and paint it a new color while they were at it. and way before all this started, when the very first siding guy came to do an inspection/estimate, he was looking at the hole in the chimeny and said we needed a new roof too.

all of this came at the time when they were trying to decide if they wanted to sell this house and buy a bigger one for all of us and so grandmom could move in too... so they figured they may as well do it all at once.

yippie.
