holiday gifts: talking giving and receiving

but the best gifts to give are the ones with special meaning.
Robin made a calendar up for her brother and sister. It has pictures of their mom and dad and their grandparents all over the calendar. Some of the pics portrayed in the calendar are over 70 years old. They transferred remarkably well. It is like a picture time line of their parents. It is awesome and I cannot wait to see their faces.

It is gifts like that that are so inmaterial that make the biggest impact I truly believe.

That is one of the best gifts I've ever heard of! They will LOVE it! Especially because it's so from the heart!

That is a reallllly cool idea!!!!! And homemade gifts are so nice for the same reason, because to me, someone taking the time it takes to make stuff is way more impressive because I don't have the time to do it myself.

cry It's been just over 10 years for me.
He never saw my children.
He never learned of all the research I did on his side of the family dating back to the 1700's.
He'd tell me what I needed to do to straighten out my life.
And we cannot blow bubbles together anymore!
I've got the best picture of us doing that when I was little that I wish I could show you.

cry It's been just over 10 years for me.

cry here, too. Two of my most defining life moments were the deaths of my grandparents. Loved them both dearly, and miss them terribly, especially around the holidays.
