im new to running, but play sports such as tennis and basketball and and and reasonably fit.
but when i go running i get stitches really easily, but i dont get out of breath or get aches in my legs.

when i go running with friends they always have to stop because theyre out of breath or there legs hurt, i never get that, i only ever have to stop because of my stitches.

is there a reason for this? is it because of the way i run? or my stomach muscles?

any help would be fab.

They are caused from inconsistent breathing. Of course you can stop stitches by slowing down or taking a quick break. But you can get them to go away on the run by focusing your breathing. An accepted method to coordinate your breathing with your strides, timing your breaths accordingly.
