it must be the cold weather thing or something.......but both of your favorite Cool midwesterners cannot get their act together and decide on a winter/spring marathon.

jrjo and I need a kick in the 'ol rearends as we have not committed.

I can only speak for myself....but with each passing week that I have nada on my race plate it's another week of fluff. I need to put something on that plate for motivation.

I had decided to do Boston last week.....then I went and did a social run and well........all I heard is "I hope you don't plan to run it all out and try and PR" back to square one.

I think I was actually closer to committment that MR. JO, who is currently looking at the Pig.

help!!!

Why would that discourage you from going to Boston?

There's always Mardi Gras Marathon in late February. Mr. Green

Come run this one with me on March 28th! You could be showered and home by the time I roll across the finish!

YES!!!

I have been debating on the Pig myself. Since I am a Buckeye, I thought an OH. marathon would be fun. That one is half way between my folks in OH and my husband's in KY. We'll see how White Rock goes first.

I think I'm gonna go the "last minute" route and just crank the miles over the winter and once I've got enough of those 20+ milers done, then I'll pick one a month or so out. This was actually a page out of my goals a year or two back since I have yet to feel "ready" at a marathon starting line. dunno
