Oh yeah. We can yap all we want, as long as the topics are pre-approved by "a few prominent citizens with strong Christian beliefs".

Is that a modulator stab?

I'm so very proud. Women shouldn't have jobs, much less jobs like this one.

I'm just a few miles from this...actually, Burleson is booming and taking over my poor little Crowley area. We have another Crowley resident on this board...he's must be out driving his bus!

You'd think even "a few prominent citizens with strong Christian beliefs" would rather have their police force catching real criminals. And you'd think the police would have had better things to do than even bother with the sting operation.

It really is against TX law to sell vibrators instead of muscle massagers; that makes them real criminals in my book. Wink

Believe it or not, the legal term for them in Texas is "marital aids." It used to be a violation to be in possession of more than a dozen of them.

This is one of those deals where the district court judge will throw it out before it goes any further. Watch and see.

I think some of those people could benefit greatly from using those Novelties. How up tight can you get. If she is selling them in a similiar tupperware fashion, then what can the big deal be? If you aren't into that stuff don't go. She isn't forcing anyone to see her products.

What is sad is that she could probably have opened up a "Novelty" store, with painted windows, advertising adult gifts and movies and been ok. Now it is discrete and everyone has their panties in a twist.

Most of you big city folks don't understand the way things work down here. Wink We can't have such smut in our small town. Things are already changing too much, we have actual restaurants now, not to mention the movie house. There's no room for "marital aids".

(really...up to a dozen...why would you need a dozen??? I'm rather shocked)

You can buy condoms in Maine? WOW!

Actually, you can buy the items, but only as novelties. Once she explained how to use it for the couples "benefit" she crossed the line.

We have stupider laws than this one!

The vibrator limit in Texas was imposed by the Texas Dental Association in 1979. Apparently, too many Texas women were chipping their teeth with the devices so some control measures were put in place for their own protection.

Shouldn't we leave the women of Texas to their own devices?
