Shocked

last night was the first night with Miles home.

he got up about 4 times during the night, so not too bad, although I have morning practice in 10 mins.

So, I'm gonna be a walking zombie the rest of the day.

(Maybe I'll catch a nap this afternoon.)

No. What an assumption. If you have a kid (you lay), you should expect to be sleep-deprived (you pay). They don't call it a "bundle" of joy for nothing. Geez, I thought my point was rather obvious.

And to Cappy for trying to stir up something.

No you made an asinine statement, and frankly it bothered me.

So the next time you whine about a running injury, it will be okay for me to say well duh, you run to much, right?

Asinine is comparing running injuries, which often are the results of fluke accidents, to pregnancy, which is sometimes accidental but more often planned.

You choose to run, and you choose to have sex. It’s a fair comparison.

Good point. The choice to not only have sex, but to not use birth control is still a choice we are all free to make. Yes, sometimes both are caused by accidents, but the accidents in this case are often caused by the decisions we make around the actions (i.e. overtraining, which causes way more running injuries than freak accidents, vs. having unprotected sex knowing the risk could be an accidental pregnancy). And for the record, as one who chose not to procreate before the medical decision was actually made for her later on, I don't criticize anyone for the manner in which they choose to partake, or not, in birth control, but I think that was kind of a cold statement, as if getting pregnant was a bad thing. We're not talking about a venereal disease here. I was a little offended by that and I'm not a parent, I can only imagine how some of the parents here who haven't spoken up felt.
