chocolate
I have a sweet tooth. They all know it, and know that there's gotta be some around here somewhere. Tried keeping it in the bedside table (where I mostly get the hankering, in bed at night). They know that spot. Fine, I'll put it on top of the armoire. They'll never find it there.
He's 3, but he's a smart 3. Evidently saw something that looked suspiciously like his favorite candy bar. Probably noticed how BIG it was (the big candy bar, only made bigger during Valentines and at the Hershey's factory I'm told). Hmmm. He's not tall, the armoire is. Let's try that stool we use in the bathroom. Nope, not big enough. Let's get the clothes basket, that big green one. Let's put the stool on TOP of the clothes basket. Still no dice.
Let's grab that yellow Little Tikes chair... Oh no, here she comes!
He might have succeeded had the bumping around not aroused my suspicion.
You might be asking yourself what might have happened to this 2-foot tornado... He is alive and well. We discussed how we need to ask Mommy for chocolate (cow-k in Jake-ese), and he agreed. Then he was allowed to partake in this delicious treat.
Hey, I said I'm a disciplinarian. I didn't say I don't have a heart!!!

Hopefully he shows that kind of desire to accomplish a goal as he gets older.... Kids are great at that age, especially when they are someone elses.

Sadly it's the opposite in our house. I love chocolate, but rarely buy it because I have zero will power. When little Poky comes home with a treat bag from a birthday party, I'm the one sneaking the chocolate when she's not looking.

Oooh..it's almost Halloween!
We do this...we trick or treat...Ian then dumps his candy on the kitchen table and we make Mama's pile and Ian's pile. Mama's pile is the stuff that he doesn't like. I usually net about 30 tootsie rolls and misc stuff.

Halloween, yeah. It's all about the candy. With 3 kids, we really score big-time...They wonder what they will be, who we will see while we're out, and I just wonder how many snickers and hersheys we'll score. Hey, we all have to have priorities.
He did sneak into the cupboard and scored an almond joy. The lesson we've learned here today? Don't go potty without your shadow present. HA!

I have to bring this back around to the "why I don't have kids" thread of a few weeks ago. I am so NOT sharing my chocolate with anyone!!!
Chocolate is just wasted on other people. It should all belong to me.
