a good friend of mine was in a car accident this morning (thursday) - they were rear ended at 65 k an hour (40mph) by a Dakota... their truck got written off...

at any rate she seems to be fine (thankfully), but she's pregnant and she hasn't mentioned anything about the baby or being worried about it (i didn't want to bring it up), just that her neck is all messed right now.

the catch being that she has her math re-write tomorrow afternoon after failing the final (we have supplementals so you can carry-on even though you get an "f" on the card). if she doesn't pass she has to take this whole class plus the first class all over again due to the new system for classes next year. and she's already having to retake acounting 1. -granted she'll be off next year to raise the baby anyway...

bottom line is - i'm requesting some good luck vibes for my friend so she can relax a bit and squeek through her exam and not have to have that added stress/worry while she's dealing with the pain from the accident, other schooling, and the baby.

here's hoping it all goes well. thanks in advance.

Is she in the hospital? And can't the school give her a week's delay or so for her to recover?

Prayers and good wishes for her, the baby, and for her classes.

they might end up in the ER later tonight, she says her neck is hurting more and her b/f's back is worse. apparently there are no exceptions for the exam re-writes - but there is a way to appeal that through the student council, and i would make a strong case for her if that was the case. if just hoping that she gets through it and we'll help her out anyway we can after.

I'm sending all the good vibes possible but...

If they have not been to the ER yet get them there ASAP !! Neck injury is not something to fluff off. Your friend may feel alright but she may have really injured her neck. Having "swelling" sounds like something serious...
