We lost by 8 last night to go to 1-3 on the season.
We won our first game.
We lost our second game in overtime by one.
We lost our third game by 29. (We played a very good team.)
Last night we played the #2 ranked Class B team in the State, and actually played with them the entire game. If he hadn't played to tenative early on, and given them a huge lead early....we could have won.
Surprisingly, I'm 1-3 and I'm kinda....
We don't have a good record, but we are playing pretty well, and when we play some easier schools, we're gonna start winning, and it's going to be so neat to see these girls experience that, because all they have ever done is lose. (7 straight losing seasons before I came here)

With an attitude like that, you should coach in the NFL!
Question, my friend: do you think teams perform better with increased familiarity with the coach? As in, do you think getting to know them more this year will have a positive correllating effect next year?

Yes, teams should perform better as their familiarity increases. This way they know the coach's system, and his/her expectations.
I fully expect this team to be much better next year.
Although, in some cases, it is helpful to have a fresh voice. If the coach doesn't care, or the team doesn't respond for whatever reason, it might be time for a change.
I think one of the reasons the team is playing so hard this year is because they switched coaches. Not because I'm so good, and the other coach wasn't good. Not in the slightest. Just because I'm new, a fresh voice....teaching new and different things. I also have higher expectations, because I haven't been beaten into the dirt for the past 7 years...I expect more out of them, so they produce more.
Does this make any sense? Sorry, I got off on a ramble there, and I'm not sure if I actually answered the question.

So you're saying I should be a coach, then?
Yes, you answered. I suspected that to be the case, but thought I'd ask the expert. Did your team do something special for you for the holidays, like homemade treats or whatnot?

They gave me a cookie last night that said Coach Harming on it.
And, the coach family is hosting the entire team at our house tonight to watch christmas movies and make some christmas cookies.
