Slave for hire....here I am. Need any house cleaning done while I am over? Why don't you head out for the evening and have a good time and I'll look after things for ya.
was the sarcasm noticeable in my voice? I won't cook you fried chicken because it's bad for you. Sorry.

Oh come on.....a little bit of badness is so good!!!!!!
PS--Akern, I'm all over that!!!!! I just told my hubby that "I'm pregnant, I'm nauseous, Fried Chicken sounds good and I'll be back from KFC with dinner at 6:30." Although it's horrible and bad for us he didn't resist. Good boy.

I'm sorry, I didn't know you were pregnant. Anything goes when you're pregnant, bad or not. In your condition you do need a slave to take care of all those things as you're probably exhausted. Put together the list of chores and I'll do my best to make it by 6:30.
No sarcasm this time

Anyone familiar with Southern Culture on the Skids? I have "Fried Chicken and Gasoline" running through my head right now. Unfortunately I don't remember any lyrics. I just know there is cowbell. And discussion of fried chicken.

Nice alternative to fried chicken:
Use skinless chicken breasts for this.
Dip them in skim milk that you added a little bit of tabasco to.
Then coat with Post Toasties that you rolling pinned to make crumbs.
Put on your cookie sheet, spray all pieces with a little Pam cooking spray, bake until done (let's say 350degrees for what, 35 minutes or so? Depending on thickness of breasts I guess.
I found this recipe in one of my healthy cooking cookbooks. It's really really tasty, and not near as bad for you as real fried chicken.

Side note: The best, and I mean the absolute best, fried chicken I ever had was out in the field with the Army National Guard at Ft Drum NY. It was made to perfection and served hot with biscuits and gravy. To make it even better we used the fender of a 2.5 tom truck as a table. Yum Yum

yes Yes YES! I LOVE THE SCOTS! "Girl Fight" is classic, too. I saw them last fall with the Reverend Horton Heat; what a fantastic show!
They're coming to Philly next month but I'll be in upstate NY so I'll miss them.

I haven't had fried chicken in ages. It used to be a regular when I was growing up - chicken frying in a cast iron skillet. With smashed potatoes and gravy.
I think I'll try the baked version with corn flakes. Do you think Frosted Flakes would work?
