My husband is a passionate rider. He wants to buy a new bike but has been postponing the purchase to fit the budget. I got some money from a side job and would like to surprise him. He wants to buy a bike with fixed frame with mudgaurd clearance. Please help.

Your husband is a very lucky man. Not many women would choose to spend their hard earned money on purchasing a husband's desired bike. The bike should have fixed frame and mudguard clearance. The frame should have: double butted aluminum integrated headset, smooth welds double bottle bosses. Also relaxed frame angles and stainless steel inserts in drop outs are welcome. Forks should be of carbon/alloy steerer. Wheels are good when fixed/free hub stainless spokes 32h. Cranks could be: fsa 48t isis bottom bracket. Brakes can be with dual pivot alloy calipers with cane creek aero brake levers. Bars & stem a best when made of alloy 42 or 44 cm with 90mm to 130 mm alloy stem. Seat pin and saddle can be made of alloy 27.2mm with pro selle Italia saddle. The exact size and color is up to you.
