How can they have a delay for bad weather that has not happened yet? Why not schedule them a week in advance when the seven day forecasts come out?

I believe this delay is for the cold temps, although the snow we got tonight may be part of it. Website is listing 53 school districts with either delays or closings, most of them were delays though.

How do those low temps look for next week? You could plan some long runs, shopping, etc., around them.

It's currently 9°F here (which is danged cold for GA). They've closed just about every metro Atlanta school except for the county that my kids attend in. Seems like a wasted day off to me. What's wrong with a little cold?

53 school districts with a delay but our school district isn't one of them. As a matter of fact they haven't had a delay yet during this bitterly cold weather. Our kids are tough--whether they like it or not!
