a friend of mine whom has been running, biking, swimming and all sorts of other things......won his first ever event today!!!!! I'm soooooo happy for him. He recently revealed to me that he has never won a trophy and I was shocked (he runs sub3 marathons) and he is an awesome biker....(so so swimmer, I guess)......well, he won a duathlon today.....the kicker is that the event is over 30 miles away.....he rode there......won the duathlon (5k,30k,5k) and then rode home........something that someone here would do

My next race is 90+ miles away. I think I'll drive to that one.
That's very cool that your friend got the top podium spot! Was there a cash purse for the winner too?

It goes to show you the benefits of a good warmup.
That's great. Get him to drop in, initiation isn't that bad
