You mean Michaelis Menten enzyme kinetics? Funny that we covered it in Physical Chem not in 2nd year biochem last year. Sorry, but I kinda forgot what that means- I got to read that section in my biochem text to help you out..
We are just about done lipid structure, nomenclature, and function (doing techniques in studying membrane lipids today and move on into the next section on membrane structure) and man, that was a helluva lot of material presented over the last 3-4 lectures! I'm already cringing at the number of structures we have to recognize and draw out on the midterm!

Are you studying the concentration effects and that of inhibitors? Oh yeah, gotta love Michaelis-Menten.
Do you still have your Cell Bio textbook and/or notes? It's the same thing, so maybe you can find the connection between your bio chem prof's explanation and that of your cell bio prof.

Oh you crazy kids and your science posts.
If you understood it before, you will be fine. I would do like omega lambda said and compare the two. It's like translating a language. You already understand... you just need to learn biochemprofessor-ese.

i love the MM equation! yeah, yeah i know i need to it back up. the profs lectures up to this point had been so straight froward. i have no idea what happened to this one! he was all over the place and it seemed like he had no point whatsoever.
today he took 6 powerpoint slides and 14 equations to show us how to derive the MM equation. he was trying to take shortcuts when explaining it and made some math mistakes...and got the entire class lost and it was such a pain!
but the thing that really irks me is that its in the frikkin book! all these people are getting worked up about stuff they can look up in their book later.
