For others, and this comes from working with people with eating disorders, it isn't as simple as just saying "drop the donut and get your ass out the door and run." It just isn't, and that's where I think there are huge gaps that need to be addressed. And where people underestimate the power of emotional motivation.

There are huge gaps there, too! As I said before, it is self-control for me. I don't really think I have any kind of major emotional issues that need to be addressed...but, maybe I do. There is always a point in my weight loss where I say to myself "yeah! I've done it...I've made it into size 12 pants" and at that exact moment I start gaining weight again! Evil or Very Mad I guess maybe I need to readjust my goals once I reach the first major one.

Anyway, I wonder how successful Dr. Phil's weight loss program has been as he deals with all the emotional issues of a person.
