Cappy suggested I get one a while back and I've always been glad I did. No more hassle with ID when you're out and about.

The U.S. military will give away two - FREE! - if you only sign on the dotted line. Not exactly the same but - FREE!

And that little notch on the end of the tag? Anyone know what that's for?

Very cool Hyper. I have a wrist ID and am debating about ordering either the ankle or dog tags.

y'know, i remember the time me and my buddy were leaving the house and my mom says "do you guys have i.d. in case you die?"

talk about stunned.

she says "if you die and have id at least we'll know what happened to you when you don't make it home".

needless to say it made sense, and now we always bring id with us. why? "just in case we die".

ps. this is a great idea Smile

That's what I was told. We got two tags, one on the large chain and one on a small chain. If something really bad happened, for instance, death? Well, the plan was to take one of the tags and leave the other with the body - betwen the uppers and lowers.

So, if that's the case, what's the point of having notches in the ones being sold on that website? dunno

I have them already, no skate emblem on them Mad actually these allow you to put other info on them as well, listing a phone number on them. PLUS we did not know i was allergic to percocet then.

the notch, up it for jamming it between the teeth of a corpse, the small chain is a toe tag.

No doubt! How's this sound: some congressman sends a little pork to some constituents back home in the form of a contract for dogtags. A gazillion are made...oops! No need for so many. So, why not sell off some surplus?!

Yep, I'd guess that they're the "classic," all right...but with a lot more pertinent, important info on them.

Always good to carry ID on your person when out on the roads. I wear dog tags that I got made, plus I have a Road ID on my shoe. Then there is the medic alert on my wrist.

Guess all I need now is to tattoo my name and addy some where on me for good measure, just in case EMS or PD can't find any ID on me.

I'd like some of these.

I think that they are good to have.
I've never seen this particular kind and they are nice.
