My roommate (getto booty beth) was just in a multiple car wreck on the interstate caused by an uninsured drunk driver this sunny Sunday afternoon Shocked . Despite making a 360 in traffic and hitting 2 other cars and totalling her passat, she's walking around fine right now... Shocked Shocked Shocked one of the other cars hit but driveable sped on after the drunk dumbass and some how stopped him. So while Beth was shock n awed on the side of the road thinking all parties involved left her, people were working to help her out. Meanwhile 2 other cars stopped to help her. So at least for every drunk there are many other good people. But man is that scary....

Shocked OMG, glad she is ok physically. Car crashes play mental games with you for a long time, I know. Sad

I didn't know your new place came furnished with a roommate. Wink

Man, I'm glad she's ok. It pisses me off that other people have such little regard for anyone but themselves when they go out and drink and drive.

Makes me see red. burning mad

1! She's gonna have a doosy of a body ache tomorrow.

I personally make the decision not to drive anytime I have an alcoholic beverage. Even if it's just part of one. I hope others make it, but I can't force them too. Wasted breath.

I could never live with myself if I got into an accident after having a drink.

Geez, Cheryl, so sorry to hear this tale.

My rule of thumb back in my tavern visiting days was to bug out of any establishment as soon as I heard the last call bell. My theory was that everyone who really didn't need another round were exactly the people who responded to that bell by ordering another pitcher and a round of shots.

So I figured leaving at the bell gave me about 20 minutes to get back to UH before every wasted yahoo in Houston poured themselves into their cars and got on the roads.

I hope she's well and I can obviously sympathize with the car being totaled given our hit-and-run experience last Thursday.

Yes, and one you happened to meet last October! Very Happy

GBB got a call last night from one of the other drivers involved, drunk uninsured illegal alien who hit her is now behind bars. She also learned she smartly kept the "UM" (uninsured motorist) coverage. So I think all will be good. How lucky was she????? Shocked Esp where she got hit, its probably one of the most trafficky areas in town, so so so dangerous. And you just think at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon you don't have to worry about drunks.

What a scary thing. So glad she's OK. (Life lesson: get all the car insurance you can, it's just a matter of time...)
