I was all rushing last month to get my registration form in for Grandma's Marathon because it closed in 14 days last year and maybe it would be quicker this year. Today is day 15 and there are still 1000 spots open (out of 9000). I guess I could have waited a day or two, and it's a good thing that I didn't decide to overnight mail the form in.

G'luck there Pugger. That Hwy 61 drag race is a fub one. I'll likely hit the 5km the eve before and call it good. I've got a 5km score to settle up with a couple o' riff-raffers

My check was cashed on day 6. I spent days 4 and 5 going online to my checking account 10 times each day to see if it was cashed yet.

No online registration? What is this check thing you are refering to? It must be some 20th century thing.

No online registration. You must register by mail. You can request a registration form to be mailed to you before january, but the forms aren't even online to print out until 3 days after forms are mailed out to those who requested them.

Not to mention printing out registration forms and using envelopes.

Yes, but that sounds much better for a marathon than at a desk in pantyhose. Or a hot marathon.
