14 years of law enforcement has taught me this one great lesson
never mind your own business. More people are involved in fights, assaults, shootings, stabbings, etc while they are minding their own business. If you are causing trouble or mouthing off you will not get in trouble. just so you know

Also everyone else thinks the other person has or will call PD. Takes 30 seconds to report something, you don't have to leave your name and you are not bothering the PD, its there job.

I didn't mind my own business on my trip to TN last weekend. There was some guy that was swerving all over the interstate so I got close enough to get his license plate number and I called it in to the state hwy. patrol. I followed him for a few miles but then decided that I was probably safer in front of him than behind.

What? I called once for a wounded deer. So, they already have caller ID then I have to give my name, address and probably SSN just to report an injured deer. They would probably want a DNA test if a person was involved.
Note: most of you know my dad was a Philly cop for 25 years so I am behind police 200% this just took me by surprise.

Reason we ask Bob is to verify accuracy of addresses in system. Even though we have your ID, if the caller request to be anonymous they will remain that way

I had to call 911 once. It took nearly 5 min. just to get someone on the line. I'm glad the guy wasn't dying or anything.

Back when that driver was going down the wrong side of the highway at night time, I called 911 and they didn't ask for any of my information. The woman was very courteous and prompt...(or maybe I dialed Cleo on accident?)

In the 4 or 5 times I've called 911, I've always gotten an operator/dispatcher/whatevery right away.
