I agree with you Hyper, that's why my decadence list is things that I'll only dream about but never be able to afford for one reason or another.
Right now, due to unusual circumstances, decadence would be a big fat cheeseburger with blue cheese, onions, mushrooms and a side of fresh french fries and a Dr Pepper to drink.
Another decadence: any ingredient available at my fingertips to make whatever dish my mind invents.

Decadent means self indulgent. I think, hyper, you're thinking of ostentatious or opulent. A $2 chocolate bar can be decadent.

nope, i got it on the money, self-indulgent is what i was thinking. As i was saying that is the problem with us U S of A's I want it, I'm gonna get it. Rather it be a 1.99 Value meal at Taco Bell to an over grown Cadilac A$$calade. That is part of the growing waistline of America, that is part of the reason of the debt issues here, it is part of the reason for the spoliedness of our children. we indulge in too many luxuries. once again Decadence is our downfall.

the issue is the frequency and what we allow ourselves to be indulgent with. 1 day at a day spa after your first marathon can be an indugent reward. a day at a day spa after a standard 3 mile run mid-week, just because it was a little bit colder is Over-indulgent. Maybe that's what I'm saying but not getting portrayed We as a culture over-indulge.
