I just got an email from the running club in WI about a new database created by the USATF called Run It. Map It. Share It. Searching for different routees on the database, I thought it was, overall, pretty cool, easy to use, but because of its age (I think it was just released a few weeks ago), not very comprehensive. The smaller towns will need routes added...at least in my area.
Here's a link to the database:

I'm not familiar with the Google Podemeter Hack. I think the positive aspect of the USATF database is that if you're visiting a certain place or even looking for a different place to run in your town you just type the state or city name i the search box and it will give you a list of running routes. On the other hand, you can track the distance of your run or add a route to the database. I just put in IN in the database for a general view of routes that have been listed and 62 hits were listed! Pretty cool.
There's also an advance search feature available.

It looks like it is using google maps, and that is the same as what the gmap hack is using...interesting. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm expecting it is the same program.
