http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/trib/westmoreland/s_360221.html
i was at this accident scene probably 5 minutes after it happened. frantic man in road with cell phone directing traffic into one lane of this really busy 4 lane highway.
i see this poor guy, lying lifeless and facedown, in the middle of the road with some other person screaming into his ear. we had to drive around him. it was really horrible.
i had both kids with me and 40 minutes left to drive. there wasn't one word after that.
we returned 3 hours later and that side of the highway was still jammed for miles.
at least this poor man survived. i could not sleep last night for thinking of him.

cell phoning?
doing her makeup?
drinking her coffee?
reading her magazine?
and the best by far, that i saw recently, having a map spread out over the steering wheel.
in her defense, there's that slim chance that it could have been a legitimate reason.

She was driving in Hempfield.
(I couldn't resist anymore, even though it is a serious topic)

I saw a motorcycle accident 20+ years ago that's never left my head.
The guy died. I saw too much of it to shake it off.
