I love covered bridges. I guess it's just the memories of the past, for me. There is one close to where my grandmother lives in Ohio that I love to go to from time to time. I have a picture of it somewhere...if it didn't get blown away with our last computer crash.

Aire - that one freaks me out...I hate major heights!!! eek

Yes we did. Mr Aire took a pic of me holding tight to the post the sign was on. Embarassed

I find that in poor taste.

Diva-- I was a little nervous. When I told Aire Jr that psychologists believe that you should confront your fears head on--that that was a good reason for me to cross the bridge-- Aire Jr, the wit he is (read smart azz) asked, "So, how you gonna confront your fear of falling?" teehee

I went out riding Friday and found a covered wooden bridge that's about 6 mi. from the house.

Here's a pic of it from the GA DOT web site.]

I'll head out next weekend and try to get some better pics because the trees should be in full fall colors by then.

/ps - wooden bridges are ROUGH on a bicycle.

Maybe you should raise the seat.

Nice pic PH! Mr. Green

Next time, ride through the bridge to get across, not on the roof.

I always got the shivers as a kid crossing bridges like this that were all rusted out. You just don't see these anymore.

...I think they've all collapsed by now.
