I just got this on my Mountain Equipment Co-Op road trip on Saturday. The face of the watch sits on the narrow edge of your wrist so that when you're biking or running you don't have to twist your arm to be able to see the time. Hold your arm as you would when you run, and the part of your wrist that faces up is where the watch face resides. Unbelievably smart design.

I bought one at IM Moo. My watch broke 2 days before the race while I was in the pool. It takes some getting used to.

It took me about 3 reads of your description to understand the set up but that sounds kind of neat.

I saw those in a mag recently. Great - it really IS too much trouble to turn my wrist! Now if only I could run w/o moving my legs ...

I have a Nike Triax watch that is angled. Pretty neat. A lot of people comment/compliment on it

I am intrigued and jealous all at the same time.
If I hadn't just bought a watch....

I have the wrist equivalent of cankles, so my wrists are perfectly round and I can wear a normal watch just as you described.

It looks suspiciously like a red X to me.

However, I can see it in the later quote of the same passage.
It looks cool.

Yea, you know how that occasional wrist turn can affect speed and distance...
My watch: $9.95 WalMart.
