When you drop your laptop, try not to have your jump drive plugged into the side. My testing has shown the drive won't survive. Laptop isn't really happy about the whole experience either.

Obviously manufacturers have to get with the program so that their jump drives can pass the pfffff abuse test. Otherwise, they are unfit to market.

Fortunately, despite the fact that half of it is sort of dangling off, I was able to plug it into my desk top and get the important stuff off. Getting it unplugged may be its own trick, but I'm just glad to have my class notes.
Is there a rubber laptop out there? If so, I need it. STAT.
