if you have a head cold

and

if you keep working out and running, will the cold pass through your system faster and you'll get rid of it faster

or

will you make yourself more susceptible to sickness and the cold turning into something more serious????

Usually for me it gets worse if its a chest cold and the weather is colder. I found that if the weather is dreary, my colds exaspirate.

I was told by the doc that it is OK to workout with a head cold and may even help; but, to avoid working out if it is in the chest (coughing etc).

That's what I've heard, too, and it's always worked for me. I just work out at a lower intensity than usual and I'm fine.

Although now I follow the same guide lines, there was a time when I would run even if I did have a chest cold, unfortunately when I developed pneumonia, I then realized it was a BIG mistake! Confused

The oldest and youngest immune systems are really shot to hell and they get sick alot.

I've been pretty lucky in not getting sick and it could be the lifestyle, better genes or the expermantial drugs we took in the for desert shield/storm.
