no, not Charles in Charge Wink

Did anyone ever have these delivered to your house in a can? We did in Kentucky and no one besides my family seems to have heard of this. Anyway, I found the chips at Central Market last night (in bag form) and had to buy them. Oh the nostalgia! They taste just as good still (and are really cheap!)

Which begs a second question, anyone besides us Texicans have Central Market/HEB grocery stores?

We used to get them at the local beer distributor when we were younger. Don't think they are available in our area anymore.

They were really good too.

i remember those beige and brown cans. We never got them delivered--i would sponge them at friends' houses. Those pretzels (when just opened) were the crispest saltiest things i've ever eaten.

what a bizarre thing to have delivered to your house -- the Chip man.

I know, when I saw them then remembered it all, I was thinking "am I remembering this correctly?? did we really have chips delivered to our house?"

The bags are brown and gold, just like the front of the can!

I remember them from Elementary school. I think they delivered to our cafeteria!

Just checked the website, they are out of stock for every item!

Yeah, I also noticed that the last 'flavor of the month' was October. Sounds like they may be out of bidness? Pfffff...check the date on the bag!

We had these delivered when I was a kid. One of the fubbiest pictures taken of me when I was a toddler had me standing with one foot in the Charles Chips can. I was still pretty young when they stopped delivery service, though. Sad

Those chips rocked!!!

Just noticed the other day that our local Cracker Barrel restaurant (BEANS-N-GREENS!!!) has Charles Chips, so...either they're still in production or C. B. found a big stash o' chips. :)

I remember having them delivered to the house. It was a shock to find chips were also sold at the grocery.
