Posted: 09/25/04 - 10:50 Post subject: bragging on my Bryce
Bryce did his first 2 miler this summer in just over 20 minutes. I told him if he breaks 20 minutes, I'm buying him real running shoes.
Bryce did his first 5k today and as I saw him lining up, he asked if he gets his shoes if he breaks 30 minutes. I said sure, but this was a lot further and he'll have to go even faster.
29 minutes and I figure the finish is at least a minute away. I yell, "Bryce you are going to have to kick it in to break 30". well, that little blonde head went into high gear and must have passed 15 people. 29:45!!!!! A guy that crossed the line right after him, walked up and said "thanks for pacing me little buddy"
I'm so proud
