I need running shoes that will absorb shock well. I have put on a few extra pounds and I tend to overpronate so that my feet are sore after training and my legs hurt. What shoe type am I supposed to buy in order to prevent these unpleasant sensations? I started running in order to reduce my weight and these pains are not simulative at all.

There are several models that are good shock-absorbers. Basically, the best shoes for overpronators are stability shoes. For example, you can try Asics Eagle Trail II. These shoes are pretty stable regardless of the terrain. Cushioning Gel system is excellent when it comes to shock absorption. It will offer full comfort to your feet. Just to mention that these shoes are mainly appropriate for trail running. Another option is Asics Kayano IX. They are basically designed for track running. Many people who tend to overpronate are very satisfied with Kayano and they’re regarded as one of the best running shoes. So, try either of these models and I think you’ll find what fits you best.
