I am fascinated with top athletes and their results. I am swimmer myself and I can swim pretty fast. I can also swim long distances. Yet all of that pales in comparison with the achievements of those guys. They are brilliant. Do you know what the best 200m free time is?

Yeah, I know what you mean. It is really amazing how one can be so fast. Hard workouts, sound nutrition, dedication and commitment are what it takes to be a top athlete. There are some impressive times out there. At the 2004 Olympics Men's 200m free - Final - 16.08.04
1. Ian Thorpe (Aus) Time:1:44.71
2. Pieter van den Hoogenband (Ned) Time:1:45.23
3. Michael Phelps (USA) Time:1:45.32
4. Klete Keller (USA) Time:1:46.13
5. Grant Hackett (Aus) Time:1:46.56
As for the women, Women's 200m free - Final - 17.08.04
1. Camelia Potec (Rom) Time:1:58.03
2. Federica Pellegrini (Ita) Time:1:58.22
3. Solenne Figues (Fra) Time:1:58.45
4. Paulina Barzycka (Pol) Time:1:58.62
5. Franziska van Almsick (Ger) Time:1:58.88
