Posted: 04/12/05 - 12:46 Post subject: being sucked into the triathlon vortex
Hubby is the one who's committed to a buddy to do a triathlon this summer, but it's me who's checking out swim times and obsessing over which bike for him to buy. I"ve wanted a road bike for a long time just for cross training but now more and more I'm feeling like maybe a sprint triathlon might be fun?
Any ladies done triathlons?

Swimming is highly over-rated.

See, this is what's really holding me up. I am NOT a strong swimmer, I do more of a drowning kitten routine than anything else. But maybe tri training would help me face my fears?

I'd love to train for one except for the fact that I'd prolly drowned in a kiddie pool even. I don't even take baths.

I just have to convince hubby I need a road bike too without making it sound like it's about me.......
He already thinks I'm a bit of a princess

Time....
If you've got all that, you can do it.
I just don't have the time that I'd need to properly train...

I have nothing but time, sadly. I work part time, no kids.
