As we're sitting down to the table Wed. evening to snarf some dinner my 13 yr old informs me "Man! Do I have a dump story to tell you!". Uh, dude, can we like wait till after dinner? is my response. I couldn't help but laugh.
My kids actually still think I'm pretty cool for being a dad. Dork occasionally but overall not too bad.

actually, i like watching my kids play sports. it's wonderful to live vicariously thru them without them knowing.  nothing like watching her play soccer in the rain and fog; i mean it really. it is so cool. she kicks that ball in over HIS head - to the back of the net - and the first person she looks at is YOU standing there on the sideline.... that rocks my face off.

Why yes I can't wait for the 3 weddings and the 4 college educations...
I guess I should add they do all the wonderfully cuddly, good grades fabulous athletic thingys....but the extra cash from renting them out to medical labs just makes end meet
