When cooking vegitables it is not required they be boiled untill they reach an internal temperature of 212 deg and/or turn to mush.
Please carry on with biscuits and gravey, grits, fried chicken, and pulled pork as before
oh a for crying out loud stop boiling those peanuts - blech

Sure !!! Potatoes and cabbage come to mind. Can't have a St Patty's day feast unless you have corned beef and cabbage. What's Saurbraten without some sauerkraut (sp?)

potatoes/cabbage are fairly marginal on the vegitable scale - although both are the yummy!
