Posted: 03/06/06 - 10:22 Post subject: anyone know anything about moles? (the cancer kind..?)
anyone have any information on what kind of changes i'm supposed to be watching for?
a mole on my back looks a lot bigger then it used to -of course it's right in the middle of my back so it's hard for me to get a really good look at it. (or take a picture of it for that matter)
typically my mom handles this (a - she was a nurse, b - she can see my back easier then i can), but their out of town for two weeks.
any info is appreciated, i'm having issues finding it on yahoo.

Any visible change in a mole - size, color, etc. - should be looked into fast.

No problem-oh. My sister had a cancerous mole removed a few yrs ago... It's always safe to get it checked out!

Go see a doctor. They will excise it and send off for biopsy.
I had this same problem last name, no cancer, but better safe than sorry.

I have some knowledge about skin cancer, PM me if you need more.
Sounds like you're planning to go get checked right away which is great. It's very likely if they don't like it they'll biopsy it. If they don't, act as your own best advocate and ask them to do it anyway.
