That's silly. All for a lousy statistic. Ricky Davis (then of the Cavaliers) did the same sort of thing to get a triple double. They sat him a game and eventually traded him away. What a dope.

What's a triple double? Sounds like something we used to get at Dairy Queen.

Ten or more of three of the following: Points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, and turnovers (someone actually used that last year in getting a triple double!).

when a player scores double digits in 3 categories during one game. Most commonly its points, assists, points and rebounds. It just means you're a pretty versatile player as it doesn't happen too often, and less often does it happen in 3 consecutive games.

I think we also have the Cavs to thank for that, too. In their first season, one of their players took a jump ball, went the wrong way, and scored on a lay-up for the other team (maybe Bobby Warren or John Johnson).

We had a our staff vs their staff bb game a couple years ago, between us and a neighboring town. I messed around and got a triple double.
