Rita's a 5 now, mom's worried and my one sister needs to be able to access healthcare quickly, so, the three of us (and George the cat) are headed to my uncle's house in Waco tonight. My dad is holding down the fort, stupidly or not. He also agreed to help the pastor keep their church, which has some risks, safe. So, whatever, we just fought about it. Its probably fine, it just annoys me he's taking this stance. Whatever...Anyway, several of you have my phone #, feel free to call, I anticipate a boring few days in way to close of quarters with my family... 
say a prayer for the Texas coast...

Cheryl, where do you live in Texas? I hope you and your family come through this unscathed. I lived in Beaumont when they were set to evacuate for Gilbert. It ended up making landfall way south, but that was close enough for me. Scary.
