I'm off to a "roundtable discussion" with some fellow cow-orkers and the vp/gm of our company. The grand poobah likes to meet once a month with a different group of the underlings to try and pick our brains. Nobody in their right mind is going to say what's really on their mind. I'm lucky in that I know him well enough to at least not be afraid of him like so many are around here. Either way, it's going to be a non-fun and tense hour or two. gag.

I would rawther stick a fork in my eye than go to a meeting. Reals.
I have to tell you though - Omega Lambda ROCKS at meetings. She will say exactly what everyone else is thinking but is too afraid to say. That is the only reason I go. It can be very entertaining.

I like that!
That will be my new professional development goal.
Be a poobah.
Is there a school for that?
Maybe a crash course in Philly?
Hmmm-mmmm... Jrjo, PhD Poobah. That's the kind of title that'll take you places!

An hour and fifteen minutes of pure joy. At least I didn't yawn, fart or do anything else to lower my peon status. I even contributed to the discussion like a good little meeting goer.

Ha! And I taught the President of the firm how to do something for himself this afternoon. He was quite impressed that he could look on the system himself and find out when a tax return was mailed out.

Yeah! Well I took some of this guy's money two years ago on a fishing charter! I won both biggest fish and most fish contest and he had to begrudgingly ante up $10 to me.
