has anyone heard of this? i guess its a new thing, i recently read about it in cosmo and prevention and what reliable sources they are!

anyway, it seems that you eat at least two of these 10 or 12 "power" foods at every meal and snack. snacks are two hours after each meal. i also think that it incorporates strenght training and aerobic exercises into the plan as well.

the power foods arent really anything special, so im wondering if this is some fad or worth looking at...

Having seen or read nothing on the diet I probably shouldn't respond, but my best guess is that you are right, this is probably yet another fad diet. The words "power food" and "ab diet" are either VERY poorly named for a good diet, or very gimmicky draws for a poor one. You can't target weight loss unfortunately.

I have seen the book and have a gym employee who is doing it and seems to like it. I'll check with him regarding results though.

It was written by one of the senior editors of Men's Health. I've only skimmed the articles they've had on it, but I can go back and read them in more detail if you were looking for some particular piece of information?

I'm not discounting it, but it looked like basic Weight Loss 101: constant small portions to level out metabolic response, and intake balance on carbs vs fats vs calories. I don't think its a fad. Well, the PACKAGE is a fad, but it's not like the Grapefruit Diet, IMHO.

What I wasn't sure about is if the stuff they have picked out for you is just good WL 101? or do they have SPECIFIC applications to that abdominal region?

I agree. Yes, they do give you specific routines and exercises. If you stick with it and follow the plan you should see results. My employee who was/is doing it, is not consistant. Needless to say he hasn't seen the results he wanted.
