He emailed me and asked me to tell y'all he was OK. Just a little property damage, and a hosed computer thanks to downloading some software or something he shouldn't have done.

I thought that the people in IT were suposed to do what they like and only the pee-ons had to follow the rules...

Hello Everyone,
Many thanks to Lauri for posting my update for me. I got luck and I was able to remember her email address so I emailed her from work. Big Brother is always watching at work so I don't log in here during the day. I felt guilty sending her the email letting her know I was okay.
I am halfway back! The house is doing fine just a few shingle tabs got torn off. The computer is running but I need to find more drivers to get some of the other stuff running correctly like sound!.
This really stinks. I will now make sure my computer is unplugged and turned off before every storm! We had a 30 second black out and it wiped out my computer. Then a co-worker gave me a disk to use to repair it but I misread the directions so I have to reload everything and I can't find all my disks for my software! This really does suck. I have to admit that Gateway was a big help tonight in getting the right drivers loaded so I can at least look at the web normally.
I hope all the other Floridians did okay. I can't get caught up on like 3 days of threads so can someone give me a readers digest version?
I guess I need to log into my Yahoo account to clean that up. Talk to you all later.
