DRUNK MOTHER ARRESTED...CHILD IN FOSTER CARE
Dec 10- Fond Du Lac, WI--

The Fond du Lac county sheriff's department has arrested a woman who deputies say was driving drunk with her two year old child as a passenger. Sheriff's chief deputy, Mick Fink, says a traffic stop was made about 12:30 Monday morning...and the female driver was cited for her third drunk driving offense. Fink says the woman was also cited for operating after revocation..5th offense. Fink says the sheriff's department was looking for a family member to look after the child with no success.
The grandfather was drunk...and the child's father is in jail. The child was placed in foster care.

Good god. we actually had something similar happen here acouple months ago, twice

a mother left her children in the car while she when barhoping and was later stopped for OMVI - same mother left a 9 year old girl home to watch the 3 month old baby (she had like 4 kids)

And a father in either July or August (and it was HOT) got so drunk he forgot his 2 or 3 year old boy was in the car, and went in and passed out, then later called looking around for the kid. He forgot he had the child with him. It happened at night so it wasn't as bad as it could have been in the heat of the day but still...

It makes me wonder about things when there are so many people that can't have their own children that would make great parents and people who shouldn't be allowed to babysit a lizard pop kids out like litters of kittens.

i think there was a local incident here - where a woman was drunk and let her toddler drive - i think the drunken mother worked the gas and brake while her toddler sat on her lap and steered Shocked

this resulted in an accident with no fatalities (Thank God)

Back in the day, I had a friend that got a DUI with her kids in the car with her. Must have been a very observant police officer because he caught her while she was still in the parking lot of the apartment complex where the party was. I forget what all she got charged with. Doesn't really matter now though. She's dead. Got too drunk and drove her car straight into a tree.
