Posted: 07/20/05 - 12:45 Post subject: a fun quote in the book I'm reading
"Over the period of my absence, the gym has upgraded its equipment. There is a new running machine called a Technogym which has lots of advanced features, including a gradient button to simulate uphill running. This seems a piece of sadism too far: as if it weren't difficult enough to be running on the level. Why don't the manufacturers go the whole hog and have a couple of electrodes that the runner can attach to his testicles and receive electric shocks if he falls below some predetermined speed?" - Russell Taylor, "The Looniness of the Long Distance Runner"

Why don't they attach the electrodes? Because they have to be equal to the sexes. What would they attach the electrodes to on women?
Thank you equal rights!

I know it's fiction, but to just think up such a thing, is, well, not normal
