i'll start by saying best Rolling Rock Run in 5 years!!
what a weird wonderful feeling driving to this race in my Weinermobile filled with Riff Raff! so good.
very good seeing rob, the ultimate road runner, again and finally getting to meet akern and her so together husband, keith. met up with keltic  in the stadium after the race, and we all went back to my house for dinner prepared by mr. rock.
weather at this race never fails to disappoint; it was hot and muggy, i broke a sweat just pinning on my bib  and fumbling with that chip.
i felt thirsty and my stomach was growling at the start line.  502 runners this year.
i got to see fastio rob on the out and back part, he'd already completed the hills from hell and looked super fresh. i felt wasted until that final quarter mile when some smartazz kid absolutely hosed me down with a full force blast from what felt like a regulation fire hose. it took my breath away it was so cold and so strong, but dang it- it felt good.
i followed some woman the whole way, couldn't find my way around her until the final sprint for the finish when she just chugged along, so i passed her not knowing i was taking second place from her in the chute! so good.
final time was 42:06 and i managed to bring home a rolling rock trophy for second place in the 45-49 age group (22 of us).
thanks so much for making the trip to PA you guys! it was great having you.

RR rocked the race! You did great out there. I was excited to hear what you ran after hearing about Rob's race. You all ran really good races. Congrats to you for the age group award.

I think that last hose was actually a fire hose hooked up to a hydrant. It definitely blasted me when I went thru but it was much needed by that point. I was disappointed by the lack of the hootchy mama dance though when you got your trophy. You promised.... 
Had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat. Hopefully next time I'll pass on doing my cramped hamstring dance thru your kitchen though...
