---my hubby is with Andrew at the doctor's office. He developed a rash this morning. He had a red area about a week ago which we thought was a bug or spider bite. We, however, now suspect Lyme's disease. Sad

thanks

update: can't be confirmed until a blood test 2 weeks after onset....but the doctor believes it is Lyme's and Andrew will be put on antibiotics for 3 weeks. She said it wasn't adviseable to wait for lab results as it's best to treat ASAP. As he appears to be asymptomatic (except for a non-itchy blotchy skin), I think we'll be okay.

I hate ticks Evil or Very Mad

So with the meds does it go away or what does that mean? Man, scary stuff. Hope he's ok. too bad

I hate ticks, too. They creep me out. The other night I crawled into bed with my hubby and started to nuzzle into his chest when I saw this big black thing moving around....it was a tick!!!! Luckily it wasn't attached, but it still crept me out! puke

But I think Lyme's just comes from Deer ticks which are the teeny tiny ones, right?
