(Apologies to CherylPlantarFasciitis)
Yay, Beatrice!
I managed to get my husband and myself prepared for a cycyling event that I thought was tomorrow/today -- that's actually NEXT weekend! Well, we're MEGA-READY for Tour de Corn.
I called him tonight from work...
"Did you get your bike to BikeWorld this afternoon?"
"Yup. It'll be ready tomorrow."
"Huh? You're messing with me, right?"
(More Abbott and Costello ensues until I learn that he was informed of my absurdity by the BW posse, who deserve more chuckles at my expense, as much as I hassle 'em.)
At least he got some clothes and he's getting new handlebars and stem for his bike (the one I ran into a car that left-hooked me ~ eight years ago). Also, I'll be NOT working next Friday, so I'll be better-rested for a 7:30 A.M. mass start in Corn Country. If it had been today/tomorrow, I'd be getting off work at midnight and doing a long ride with very little sleep after an hour's drive.Whoo-hoo!

Glad I'm not the only one who has trouble with dates! Although I'd say it worked out pretty good for your husband!

I locked my keys in the car at the grocery store today. Just as I was about to push my cart back in the store and literally run home, I bumped into my neighbor that lives two doors down and he gave me and my groceries a ride home.

I'm getting nervous. I managed to lock my keys in the house yesterday. Good thing I keep an extra set hidden in the garage.

You mean the one I saw Mrs. PH carrying out to the trash the other day?
