The leadership at Home Depot is pretty awful. Yesterday, the Dept. Head wanted me to water all the shrubs out in the back, no problem. Well, it was as soon as customers needed some assistance. I would help them find what they were looking for or load heavy items into their car.

Then the DH would ask where I was, and when she heard I was helping customers, she would ask "Why isn't he watering the shrubs?!" Well it doesn't matter if the shrubs don't get watered if you're not helping the customers...cuz they won't come back to buy the shrubs.

I think that she has to flex some "leadership muscle" when we have the most employees working, because she doesn't have real leadership skill. When it's just me and her working, everything runs smoothly, and things get done (which is also the case when she isn't working and I'm the main leader there).

She doesn't have the respect of most of the employees and they try to spite her by not doing the work. I then do all the work so that things look good around the area.

Rant over.

Having a crappy boss sucks. Big organizations like the Depot always seem to promote the wrong people.
