The Paramedic just called (why, I do not know) to say that while he was sleeping this morning, the puppy went into the bottom of a tightly packed bag, gotten out my jewelry box, opened said jewelry box, and chewed a lot of my jewelry. Of course he doesn't know what was ruined, except a few necklaces I made myself (which I can remake, no big deal). So 'splain to me:
1) how did he NOT hear this going on? Puppy would've had to knocked the bag over, which was on top of another bag, and pulled everything out to get to this.
2) how does he not know if the gold or silver stuff was damaged?
3) why he calls me at work so I can freak out about it all day instead of telling me this when I get home tonight?

1) You answered this already. He was sleeping! If he sleeps anything like me then he'd of slept right through it.
2) Uh, probably because he knows nothing about jewelry and doesn't want to freak you out any worse than you are now.
3) He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't on this one. If he doesn't call you'll assume he doesn't care about your stuff and you'll be angry about that. Now the poor guy does call and your still po'd.
Cut the guy some slack.

Update: one pair of silver hoops (my favorite) destroyed, one pair gold hoops have teeth marks but are still wearable, all else except jewelry I made myself (that I can remake) pretty much in tact. Could've been much worse.
This bag, btw, was on top of another, very high up and the jewelry box was at the very bottom. The dog would've had to work to get it down, so again, how this wasn't heard is beyond me. Funny how the mins here think wimmins b!tch about stupid things.  Until you have to pay to replace the stuff. Particularly if you bought it for your wife in the first place.
